2020 was already a “fruitful” year for Harry Styles and his go-to co-writer Tyler Johnson, thanks to the consistent success of the Billboard 200 #1 album Fine Line and its #1 Top 40 hit “Adore You.” But now the pair have scaled to new heights with the 2X Platinum single “Watermelon Sugar” which ascended to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, following several weeks at #1 on the Mediabase Top 40 and Hot AC charts. The song becomes Styles’ first Hot 100 #1 as a solo artist, and Johnson’s first as a songwriter. It has accumulated more than 1 billion music streams.
