Writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Harlan has focused the last couple of years on being a studio collaborator helping craft songs for Mayer Hawthorne, Madi Diaz and others. Following some time in the studio with singer/songwriter Rachael Cantu the two decided to start an artist project called Little Brutes and the pair released their second EP titled Desire today. In its review, Stereogum said “It felt like Haim’s freewheeling spirit had been downloaded into an XX song,” and that each track on the EP was “expertly assembled and soulfully executed.”
