RUTH-ANNE CUNNINGHAM has a powerhouse voice and a whole lot of soul. Ireland-born and Los Angeles-based, she found the missing link between gritty nineties R&B a la Lauryn Hill and seventies songwriter storytelling reminiscent of Carole King. The musical journey of this artist, songwriter, and performer has been marked by fearlessness. Most recently, Ruth-Anne penned 6 songs on Niall Horan’s album, Flicker, including “Slow Hands.” In 2007, she achieved the ASCAP Songwriters “Best Pop Song” Award for writing JoJo’s “Too Little Too Late.” Rooty continued with a string of smashes including Britney Spears’ RIAA platinum-certified “Work Bitch,” One Direction’s “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and “No Control,” Pentatonix’s “Misbehavin’” and Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha’s global platinum selling smash hit “In The Name Of Love.” She also has had numerous songs placed in film & television including Fox show “Empire” and the latest Fifty Shades of Grey sequel entitled Fifty Shades Darker which she featured on as an artist.
