Biography

CHAZ CARDIGAN is a product of the Millennial post-genre landscape; a studio polymath and an electric live performer with a wide array of influences spanning from punk rock to Queen, Kanye West to Bjork, David Bowie to Sun Ra. Growing up outside of Louisville, he was classically trained as a piano player before teaching himself guitar, bass, and drums. He began gigging at 11, playing in a handful of punk cover bands while learning how to produce and mix hip hop on a 4-track tape recorder. His imaginative, genre bending alt-pop defies simple definition and his uniquely lyrical style has earned him a hard core fan base with his first few solo releases as Chaz Cardigan. Now signed to Capitol Records/Bad Robot, his single “Not OK!” from his debut major label EP, Vulnerabelia, is currently climbing up the charts in the top 20 at Alternative Radio. Chaz has also become a favorite across the film/tv landscape, most recently with his song “As I’ll Ever Be” placed in To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You on Netflix and across the official soundtrack as well. Chaz is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming EP set to release Summer 2020.
